Hyperbaric medicine provided at HBOT Clinics is fully covered by Alberta Health; there are no user fees or copayments. HBOT Clinics provides treatment to patients referred by their physicians for those medical conditions approved by the Calgary Health Region and the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta.
Upon referral, patients are given a physical assessment to determine the appropriate treatment and to evaluate for possible contra-indications to hyperbaric oxygen. An application for funding is then made to the patient’s respective health region to cover the cost of therapy. Treatment will commence shortly after funding has been approved.
